History of Peace Church

2003 - The vision for a Lakewood Ranch Church developed around a kitchen table
2004 - Regular planning sessions at a variety of Lakewood Ranch locations.
2005 - Pastor Elizabeth Deibert was called as Pastor; Sunday night meetings are held at Living Lord Lutheran Church
2006 - Sunday morning worship held at Manatee Community College (now called State College of Florida)
2007 - Music and Arts Director Gia Havener joined the staff; Peace expanded Mission Outreach around
Lakewood Ranch and beyond
2008 - Pastor Tricia called as Pastor to Youth and Families; Lorraine Road site purchased by Peace River Presbytery
2009 - Peace Church chartered as 39th church in Presbytery
2010 - Peace relocates to the Manatee Association of Realtors Facility
2011 - Building Vision Team begins master plan and phase one design of church building
2012 - Still making history at Peace Presbyterian!
