PEACE IN THE PARK
Peace in the Park is an event held at Summerfield Community Park Pavillion for elementary school children on teacher workdays or other one-day holidays. Children from all faith traditions (and none) are welcome to participate.
The hours are 9:00-3:00 and pre-registration is expected. A small fee is charged to cover supplies, snacks, and lunch.

With games, songs, crafts, and other activities, children learn to be at peace with themselves, building self-esteem. Then they learn the fine art of communication and conflict resolution, as they grow in peace with each other. Appreciating the values of different races, cultures and religions, they learn to be at peace in the world. And last but not least, they learn to care for the environment, being at peace with the planet.
